When Mr. Pirzada Came to Dine

“Really, Mr. Pirzada,” my mother protested. “Night after night. You spoil her.”
“I only spoil children who are incapable of spoiling.”
It was an awkward moment for me, one which I awaited in part with dread, in part with delight.

  1. This quote made me recall the situation that often happens at my home. My brother and I sometimes get compliments or gifts from the elders when there's a festival. While receiving those, we always feel awkward because our mom would keep declining them, However, in our mind, we feel proud of ourselves and really want to have those gifts.
