I would want to read "The Doll's House" because first of all, it caught my eyes as soon as I opened the page. I liked the way she put the picture and how it really felt like it was a page for a doll's house. I would want to read it and know more about what happened in the story and what could possibly happen in a doll' house.
"A Celebration of Grandfathers" made me want to find out what the grandfather exactly said to show his wisdom, and I like the feeling to be guild and to know how wise people look at life through their unique perspective. It will be nice and warm if i can get involved in the the conversations between the narrator and his grandfather.
I would want to read "Searching for Summer" because the title interested me. Why would someone be searching for summer? Where did it go? The title suggested a story of a dystopian world where summer no longer existed, and don't judge, but I like reading dystopian stories. It reminds me of how lucky we are and how we should always cherish what we have. I also really like the layout of the website. It's very warm, relaxing, and pleasing to look at.
I would like to read "The Man in the Water" since I get to understand a real-life model. It's great to understand a model who sacrifices his or her life and it's useful since the model is great evidence to support essays. Furthermore, the surrounding water exemplifies the background and makes the readers feel realistic.
I would like to read "Harrison Bergeron." This story is about the future, where everyone is equal. I found this story interesting because this might really happens in our planet. Since our technology is so advanced now. Maybe one day they would invent something that would control our thoughts and behaviors.
AS i have voted for "The Doll's House" as best website overall, I would like to read it the most. I personally like the colors presented on the website and also liked the font used. I believe that being able to attract the readers visually is also important as attracting them through the text. If a reader's attention is caught, he or she is most likely to read on to find out more. I also liked the pictures and the formal tone of the author.
I think one of the most appealing qualities of the website, other then its content and design, is its title. The title was simplistic and yet very gripping. When people heard the title " The Doll House" they would want to know more: What doll house? How is it important? Personally, I knew it would be a novel about little girls popularity contest from the very beginning.
I would like to read "Shoofly Pie." The first thing that caught my eye when I opened the website was the pie in the corner, and the chocolate-like background. It made me wonder how a story could be centralized around a pie. Also, through looking at the other pages within the website, I noticed that it is a story mainly about modern-day struggles. It appealed to me because the story seemed realistic, and also presented several little stories in between. I would like to read this story some time.
I'd like to read "The Race to Save Apollo 13" because the title is very interesting. I thought about about the project Apollo and moon and I like things about outer space.

I would want to read "The Teacher Who Changed My Life." This is because the website was pretty engaging and it caught my eyes with just one glance. Also, this kind of topic really touches me, so I'd like to read more about it to understand the full story. Also, I really liked the theme of how one can change another's life through education that seems so narrow and boring.
I would like to read "The Teacher Who Changed My Life." At the home page she used different way to introduce herself, which makes me feel more close to the author who build up this site. Also, I am interesting in the story that I want know more about how the teacher changed the boy's life. In the personal reaction she put catchy animation that I would like to read about how she feel of the story.
I would like to read about "The Teacher Who Changed My Life." because I want to know just what kind of teacher the author had who was able to change her life completely, as I have never experienced so myself.
I would like to read" The Teacher Who Changed My life" because the website is well-organized and it is obvious that the author putted great efforts into the lay-out of the web site. Also, having already a basic idea of how the story goes, I am fascinated to know more on how the teacher changed the kid's life.
I agree with Jenny. I would like to read "The Doll's House" because the font and the background she chose appeal to me. It is very important for a website to attract readers' eyes at the first sight.
I too would like to read "Those Winter Sundays" because I have not read very many poems (in comparison to books and short stories) in my life. It seems like a very thoughtful poem, although the contents appear to be about an internal conflict, rather than an external one (I prefer external, as it is easier for me to identify the conflicts and understand). It seems to contrast the father and the son; this appears to be fairly interesting and seems like it would be a good read.
The story Two Friends was the first one that caught my eye. For a reason, in the introduction it ways, "Faced with a life-or-death situation, do people who have a close friendship come to each other's aid?" I think it's really debatable in one's mind and it causes a huge internal conflict which makes the story so much more tempting to read.
" The race to save Apollo Thirteen", because I am very interested in space mission. Apollo was one of the failed mission. I wanted to know how the three astronuats came back alive.

ReplyDeleteI agree. WHat separates dystopian from pure fantasy is the possibility of something like that actually happening in the near future.
